For RBI Grade B (DR) – DSIM 2025, the total number of posts announced is:

  • 20 Vacancies (including reserved categories) RBI grade b notification (1)

Break-up:

  • General/UR: 10

  • EWS: 1

  • OBC: 3

  • SC: 2 (including backlog)

  • ST: 4 (including backlog)

PwBD reservation is also available (2 for blindness/low vision, 1 for hard of hearing).

📅 Important Dates

Here are the key dates that candidates must remember:

  • Application Window:

    • Opens: September 10, 2025

    • Closes: September 30, 2025 (till 6:00 PM)

  • Phase-I Exam (Paper-I): October 19, 2025

  • Phase-II Exam (Papers II & III): December 07, 2025

  • Interview: Dates will be notified later on RBI’s website.

👉 Candidates must appear for all papers in both phases to qualify.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification (as of September 01, 2025):

Candidates must have:

  • Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks in Statistics / Mathematics / Mathematical Statistics / Applied Statistics / Quantitative Economics / Econometrics / Informatics or related fieldsOR

  • Master’s Degree with 55% marks in Data Science / Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning / Big Data Analytics or related branchesOR

  • Four-year Bachelor’s Degree with 60% marks in Statistics / Data Science / AI / ML / Big Data Analytics, etc.

👉 For SC/ST/PwBD candidates, the minimum marks required is 50%.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • PhD in related fields

  • Research/teaching experience and publications in standard journals

Age Limit:

  • 21 to 30 years (as of September 01, 2025)

  • Relaxations: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, 10–15 years for PwBD, 2 years for M.Phil. holders, 4 years for Ph.D. holders.

📝 Selection Procedure

Selection will be based on three stages:

  1. Phase-I (Paper-I – Online Exam) – Objective-type questions (Statistics/Quantitative subjects).

  2. Phase-II (Papers II & III – Online/Written) – Advanced papers testing Statistics, Econometrics, Data Science, and related areas.

  3. Interview – Final stage assessing subject knowledge, analytical ability, and personality.

Only those who qualify in Phase-I will be eligible for Phase-II. Final selection will consider both written exam and interview performance.

💰 Salary & Benefits

  • Basic Pay: ₹78,450/- per month

  • Gross Monthly Emoluments: Approx. ₹1,50,374/- (excluding HRA)

  • HRA: 15% of pay, if RBI accommodation is not provided
